CAFE ASSISTANT MANAGER
Working at the Springs - Cafe Assistant Manager Position
We are seeking a Cafe Assistant Manager for our seasonal, poolside cafe and coffee bar, which will be serving visitors coming to Morton's Warm Springs during the last part of our public season (Fri-Sun in August, and Sat-Sun in September). We are looking for someone to start as soon as possible. Our ideal Cafe Assistant Manager is someone who is also interested in one day becoming involved year-round at the Springs, and, if after this initial 2-month trial period a deeper relationship is mutually desired, the Cafe Assistant Manager would be invited to return for the duration of our entire 5-month season next year, from May-September. There may also be the possibility for some work in the off-season from September-April, e.g. playing a role in off-season operations and planning for the cafe, the farm and garden, as well as in other projects which are in service to the land and community, but this will be mutually determined at the conclusion of the season.
Job Summary
The Cafe Assistant Manager helps to manage and implement all aspects of our seasonal poolside cafe and has a close relationship with our Cafe Manager, other Morton’s staff and the community Core Team and Stewards ring. The required hours for this part-time role will be 6-8 hour shifts on Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays, flexibly scheduled between the hours of 9am and 8pm, throughout August (i.e. you could work earlier or later shifts, as needed). This then changes to only Saturdays & Sundays for the month of September, after which we close down the cafe (and Morton's) starting October 1st.

For this position you must be a self-starter committed to healthy communication and team-building.
